A new poll has revealed the percentage of New Yorkers who want the state to hold off on lifting its school mask mandate until more information is available Siena College released the results of its latest poll, which found that 58 percent of New Yorkers would rather wait until early March to determine whether or not Gov. Kathy Hochul should lift the school mask mandate. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul holds an early advantage over potential Democratic primary challengers, according to a newly released Siena College poll. In a preview of the June primary, the incumbent governor leads her closest potential opponents by between 14 and 19 points in multiple scenarios, pollsters found after questioning New York State voters. A majority of New Yorkers plan to get a COVID-19 vaccine when it is made available, though a large portion still does not plan on getting vaccinated, according to a newly released Siena College poll.
