Man Gets Prison Time After Killing Victim In Westchester, Then Avoiding Police For Year
A 34-year-old man who spent a year eluding authorities will spend decades in prison for fatally shooting a 20-year-old victim in Westchester. Yonkers resident Jonathan Planas was sentenced to 22 years in state prison for the October 2020 fatal shooting of Alvaro Vigueras Medina, Westchester County District Attorney Miriam Rocah announced on Thursday, Feb. 22.
