Rockland County resident Charles S. "Chuck" Scarpulla, of Valley Cottage, died on Tuesday, April 11 at age 81. Scarpulla, the former Ramapo High School and Sleepy Hollow High School athletic director and Section 1 football coordinator was known for his coaching skills, but more importantly for listening, caring, and motivating young athletes. Service Scheduled For Mother Killed In 7-Eleven Road-Rage Attack Services have been announced for Melissa DeLoatch, the pregnant Rockland mother of six children who was killed last week by an enraged man who had been asked to stop smoking. A visitation will be held for DeLoatch, 32, from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Church at 16 Jefferson St. in Nyack. A funeral will follow at the church at 11, announced Hannemann Funeral Home. Bobby Arietta, Scenic Artist For Movies/TV, Dies At 51 Robert C. "Bobby" Arietta of Nyack, a noted scenic artist for major motion picture and television productions, died on Sunday, May 27. He was 51. He was a lifelong resident of Nyack, a graduate of Nyack High School, class of 84, and attended Buffalo University. Since 1996 he worked as a Scenic Artist for United Scenic Artists Local USA 829.
