Death Of 7-Year-Old NY Boy Ruled Homicide After 3 Years Three years after a 7-year-old boy was found dead in his upstate New York home, police have ruled his death a homicide. Hunter Degroat was found unresponsive at a Fulton County residence in Johnstown on the afternoon of Aug. 9, 2022, according to New York State Police. Despite life-saving measures, he was pronounced dead at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
