Ex-Marine Dusty Rhodes, Owner New Rochelle Martial Arts School, Dies At 49 Westchester native and Pawling resident Dusty Rhodes, the owner of a martial arts school for more than 20 years, died on Tuesday, April 10 after battling cancer. He was 49. Dusty was born on May 16, 1968 in New Rochelle to the late Peter and Grace (Lofaro) Rhodes. He was a chef at Juliano's Caterers in New Rochelle for many years and was the proprietor of Rhodes Kajukenbo Karate & KajuPit NY MMA in New Rochelle since 1995. He served in the Marine Corps from 1987 to 1991 and saw active duty during Desert Storm. He was an avid fundraiser for St. Children’s Hospital. He was a mentor to man…
