Man Adrift For 45 Minutes Rescued After Falling Off Jet Ski In Hudson River A man who had fallen off his jet ski and had been adrift for 45 minutes was rescued in the Hudson River. The incident occurred around late in the afternoon on Friday, May 24 off of Croton-on-Hudson. Officers Willie Saez, Isai Morreira and Kirt Maddocks of the Westchester County Police Department Marine Unit were patrolling the Hudson when they came upon an unattended personal watercraft in the middle of the river at about 4:15 p.m. They began a search of the area and requested the Aviation Unit to respond to assist. The incident took place around 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, when deputies were responding to a report of a male screaming for help, possibly out on the ice in Lake Oscawana in Putnam Valley. Two Rescued After Boat Overturns Off New Rochelle Coast Two boaters were rescued when their boat capsized in the Long Island Sound off New Rochelle. Members of the New Rochelle Police Department Marine Unit and paramedics were dispatched to the area of Huckleberry Island between Davids Island, shortly after noon on Wednesday where there was a report of a capsized vessel. Two boaters were rescued by police and transported back to shore without injuries. The condition of the boat was not immediately available.
