A man and woman both face drunk driving charges in connection to two separate crashes in Northern Westchester that occurred after the Super Bowl, police announced. The two crashes both happened in Yorktown on Sunday night, Feb. 11, and early Monday morning, Feb. 12, Yorktown Police announced on Wednesday, Feb. 14. The first of the incidents happened on Sunday around 11 p.m., when a vehicle left the scene of a crash in the area of Crossways Road, according to the department. A 58-year-old man faces drunk driving charges after he was caught traveling with a flat tire on a Northern Westchester road, police said. The events leading up to the man's arrest began on Saturday, Dec. 24 around 12:45 a.m., when authorities in Yorktown received a report of a vehicle driving on its rim on Old Yorktown Road (Route 132). Authorities are investigating after a 58-year-old was fatally struck by a vehicle at a Northern Westchester intersection. The incident happened in Yorktown on Wednesday, Oct. 18 just before 7 a.m., when a pedestrian was hit in the area of Old Yorktown Road and Strang Boulevard, Yorktown Police announced. Shortly after the crash, Yorktown Police officers as well as crews from Empress EMS, the Lake Mohegan Volunteer Ambulance Corp, and the Lake Mohegan Fire Department raced to the scene. Police: Domestic Assault Suspect Caught With Drugs In Westchester
A police canine found a slew of drugs inside the car of a man involved in an alleged domestic assault in Northern Westchester. Members of the Yorktown Police Department received a report of a person in the middle of Route 132 asking motorists to call law enforcement for an emergency. A Fairfield County man is facing multiple charges after being busted with cocaine following a crash on Old Yorktown Road when he was allegedly impaired, police said. Officers from the Yorktown Police Department were dispatched to Old Yorktown Road (Route 132), where there was a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries and a vehicle on its side.
