Stolen Van With Customized Wheelchair Inside Found In Westchester: Suspects At Large Police are searching for the suspects who stole a minivan containing a customized wheelchair in Northern Westchester before leaving the vehicle behind in a parking lot.  The original theft happened in Yorktown when a group of suspects who were breaking into unlocked vehicles in the middle of the night happened upon the van before stealing it, Yorktown Police said on Tuesday, June 20. Woman Charged With Leaving Scene After Pedestrian Is Hit In Westchester A 28-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hitting a pedestrian and then leaving the scene of the accident. Caitlin White, of Putnam Valley, was arrested by Yorktown Police around 6 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 19, after responding to the report of a pedestrian hit, said Yorktown Police. The pedestrian was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Offices initiated a traffic stop after observing a vehicle speeding on Lexington Avenue on Monday, April 1 around 12:15 p.m., Yorktown Police said. Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as 19-year-old Lorenzo McCoy of Peekskill, was operating the vehicle while his driving privileges had been suspended twice for failing to answer summonses, according to police.
