Vehicle Rollover Traps Driver In Westchester, Leaves Car Stuck On Side
A vehicle rollover crash in Westchester left a driver stuck inside until crews could remove the roof of the car. The crash happened on Wednesday, Aug. 2 just before 11:45 p.m., when firefighters were sent to a rollover crash in Harrison at the intersection of Purchase Street and Cottage Avenue. According to the Purchase Fire Department, as soon as firefighters arrived at the crash scene, they began efforts to extricate the driver and stabilize the car, which had ended up on its side between a guardrail and trees. Car Crashes Into Post Office In Westchester
Multiple fire departments responded to a Westchester County post office after a car crashed into the building. It happened on Saturday, April 2 in Purchase at the post office located at 3003 Purchase St., officials said. The Purchase Fire Department, Port Chester Fire Department, and Harrison EMS were dispatched to the scene. Officials said the car drove into the vestibule of the Purchase Post Office. No one was injured in the crash, the Purchase Fire Department reported. Crews were at the scene for about an hour. No further details about the crash were provided.

Police Officers, Firefighter, EMS Save Soccer Player With CPR, AED In Westchester
A first responder in Westchester was in the right place at the right time as he came to the aid of a soccer player who suffered a cardiac incident at an area high school. Officers from the Harrison Police Department responded to the high school at 8:50 p.m. on Wednesday, May 19, where there was a report of a man who had become unconscious. Responding officers arrived at the scene to find Jeremy Lang, a volunteer fireman in West Harrison and a soccer player, performing CPR on another player who had fallen. One Extricated In Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer In Purchase
One person was extricated from a van following a two-vehicle crash that also involved a tractor-trailer on I-684. The crash took place Monday morning, Jan. 21 northbound near I-287 in Purchase, said officials with the Purchase Fire Department. Personnel from Purchase, along with the West Harrison Fire Department, Harrison EMS were dispatched to scene were they extricated the trapped person, the department said. The injured individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
