Shots Fired Incident Under Investigation In Hudson Valley
An investigation is underway after reports of gunshots being fired on a roadway in the area. Just before 8:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, officers in Rockland County from the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the area of Waldron Avenue and Toto Court in Central Nyack. Officers found a number of fired shell casings in the roadway, according to the Clarkstown Police Department. No victims or suspects have been identified. Man Busted On Weapons Charge After Shots Fired In New Rochelle Housing Complex
An investigation into reports of shots fired in a crowded Westchester housing complex led to the arrest of a Connecticut man who now faces a pair of charges, police said. Shortly before 11:15 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6, a New Rochelle Police officer on patrol heard gunshots coming from the Heritage Home housing complex, prompting an investigation at the scene. Police said that upon arrival at the housing complex, officers found people fleeing the area, but were unable to locate a shooter or victim at that time. Shots Fired Near Basketball Court In Westchester, Police Say
Gunshots rang out near a group of Westchester basketball courts overnight, prompting an extensive police investigation. Officers from the New Rochelle Police Department responded to a call of shots fired in the area of a basketball court on Main Street shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24. New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa said that officers were told by witnesses that several shots had been fired near the baseball court, though there was no one there at the time of their arrival. No Injuries Reported After Shots Fired In Mount Vernon
Detectives in Westchester are investigating reports of gunshots that were fired in Mount Vernon. Police said that gunshots were fired at approximately 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21 on South Second Avenue, though there were no initial reports of any injuries. The investigation led to a stretch of the roadway to be closed off as police investigated the reported shooting. The shooting remains under investigation.
