A Hudson Valley man has been indicted for the murder after the body of a missing man was allegedly found stabbed to death in his apartment. A Hudson Valley man has been charged with murder after the body of a missing person was located in the region. New York State Police announced the arrest of Rockland County resident Joseph Janulewicz, age 63, of West Nyack second-degree murder late Friday morning, June 17. On Tuesday, June 14, State Police in Orange County from the Monroe Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) were contacted by the Greenwood Lake Police Department for their assistance in locating a missing person, Brian Romney, age 56, of Greenwood Lake. Cop From Hudson Valley Pleads Guilty To Raping Two Women
A retired NYPD lieutenant pleaded guilty to two counts of rape in connection with the sexual assault of two teenage girls, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Nicholas McAteer, 46, from Glenwood Lake pled guilty Wednesday in connection with the 2007 and 2011 rapes of two teenage girls. At the time of his plea, McAteer admitted to the forcible rape of the two girls. McAteer raped the first girl in 2007 when the girl was 18-years old, the DA's Office said.
