Traffic is being diverted from a busy Westchester intersection due to a fallen electrical pole felled by a truck. A wild police chase through several Westchester municipalities ended when a fleeing driver crashed into multiple parked cars before disabling his vehicle against a utility pole and attempting to flee on foot. A Westchester village has become the first in the county to be designated as a COVID-19 “yellow zone,” due to the recent rise in cases in recent weeks. A busy stretch of Route 1 will be closed both ways for roadwork over parts of two days. The closure of Boston Post Road in Port Chester will be northbound and southbound, between Slater Street and Grace Church Street, daily from Monday, April 29 through Tuesday, April 30 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting.
