Crashes, Dangerous Driving, Multiple DWIs Occur In Hudson Valley Over Holiday Weekend Several people, including Connecticut residents, were apprehended for impaired driving over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend in the Hudson Valley, including several incidents involving crashes and dangerous driving behaviors, authorities announced. The arrests, which occurred in Putnam County between Tuesday, Nov. 26, and Wednesday, Dec. 4, were announced by the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday. The incident began when troopers attempted to stop Tylik D. New Canaan Police say they observed a motorist traveling northbound on South Avenue on Saturday, May 11 around 2:30 a.m. The vehicle allegedly swerved toward the police cruiser as it passed. Impaired Motorist, 23, Caught With Drugs After Westchester Crash A 23-year-old man is behind bars after Oxycodone and other drugs were found in his car following a crash in Northern Westchester in which state police say he was driving while impaired. Troopers were dispatched to the crash on Red Mill Road in Cortlandt at about 4:50 a.m. Thursday, March 15. Once on scene, troopers observed a 1999 Honda Civic that had struck a tree and utility pole.
