Who Said Outdoor Movies Are Extinct? 'Big' Hits Area Big Screen If you like outdoor movies, actor Tom Hanks and free popcorn, you're in luck. The City of White Plains is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of Hanks' appearance in "Big," by showing the movie outdoors on Court Street between Main Street and Martine Avenue. "Big" was first released 30 years ago.  At the moment, city officials have not set a rain date, so are counting on clear skies on Saturday, Sept. 22.  The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs, blankets and snacks.
