Doctor Killed In Head-On, Hit-Run Hudson Valley Crash A doctor from the Hudson Valley was killed in a head-on hit-and-run crash. The incident took place around 12:20 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 10, in Orange County on Route 32 in the town of Cornwall. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, Dr. John C. Hordines Jr., age 54, was driving a 2010 Chevy Tahoe southbound when he was hit head-on by a 2013 Honda Accord that crossed over in the southbound lane. Hordines Jr, of New Windsor, in Orange County, was pronounced dead at the scene.  This is an ongoing investigation. Check back to Daily Voice for updates.

3.4M GM SUVs, Pickup Trucks Recalled Due To Brake Problem Facing pressure from the federal government, General Motors is recalling more than 3.4 million pickup trucks and SUVs nationwide that may have potential brake problems. The recall includes Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickup models from 2014 through 2018, as well as Cadillac Escalade models from 2015 to 2017, and the GMC Yukon, Chevy Suburban and Tahoe models from 2015 through 2018. Power Steering Problems Prompt Latest GM Recall Of Trucks General Motors has announced that the company is recalling 1.2 million pickup trucks and SUVs due to power-assisted steering problems that have been reported and caused a number of crashes.
