More lane closures have been announced on the Hutchinson River Parkway. Motorists have been advised that beginning at 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2, the Hutchinson River Parkway will be closed between exit 6 (I-95) and Exit 15 (Cross County Parkway). The closure is scheduled to conclude at 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 5, in advance of the morning commute. Northbound traffic on the parkway will be detoured at the I-95 interchange. The planned closure of a stretch of the Hutchinson River Parkway that had to be postponed has been rescheduled in Westchester. Monthslong Exit Ramp Closure Announced For Bronx River Parkway In Tuckahoe
A busy Bronx River Parkway exit will be closed for several months in Westchester as contracting crews prepare to ramp up a bridge repair project near Tuckahoe. The Tuckahoe Police Department issued an alert to area residents cautioning that beginning on Tuesday, Sept. 25, the Elm Street northbound exit ramp will be closed and will not reopen until Dec. 24 as work begins to repair the bridge at the end of the exit. Stretches of four of the most traveled parkways in the area were closed late Tuesday afternoon due to flooding and a crash on northbound I-684 blocked two lanes for about an hour. With heavy rains hitting the area, the Westchester County Department of Public Works has been forced to close a stretch of the Bronx River Parkway due to flooding in the area early Tuesday afternoon. The DPW issued an alert stating that the parkway will be closed from the Westchester County Center to the Cross County Parkway. Amazon Truck Slams Into Overpass In Westchester
A tractor-trailer slammed into an overpass overnight, backing up traffic for hours on the Bronx River Parkway in Westchester. The tractor-trailer, driving illegally on the parkway, crashed around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound side just north of the Cross County Parkway near the Yonkers-Mount Vernon border, Westchester County Police said. The top of the truck, which was carrying packages for Amazon, was sheared off and packages and debris littered the roadway, shutting down two of three lanes. No injuries were reported.

A 41-year-old Westchester woman is facing a drug charge following a crash on the Bronx River Parkway that sent a car crashing into the Bronx River. There will be single and double lane closures on the Sprain Brook Parkway for more than two weeks as contracting crews continue construction activity in Westchester County. The state Department of Transportation met its promise to County Executive George Latimer this week to install "more dramatic and eye catching signs to warn truck drivers about the low bridges on the Hutchinson River Parkway," Latimer said on Tuesday, July 31.
