MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- The Mamaroneck Union Free School District had classes recently to prepare its eighth and ninth grade teachers for a fall iPad initiative.
From creating QR codes in order to increase classroom efficiency, to working in Keynote, Pages and iMovie, all eighth and ninth grade teachers attended summer workshops led by the District’s K-12 Technology Coordinator Ed Cofino and an instructor from Apple to begin preparing for the classroom use of iPads this fall to help enhance instruction.
Teachers worked collaboratively with their peers to understand how various apps will be used in the classroom, discuss student management and participate in hands-on sample lesson plans.
