DV Decision: Melania Trump Gets High Marks From Daily Voice Readers

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. --There were heated comments and a fairly even split between Daily Voice readers when asked to rate Melania Trump's recent performance at the Republican National Convention.

Forty-two percent thought the Slovenian model did "great," while 39 percent said they were too stunned over her [speechwriter's] plagiarism to an earlier Michelle Obama speech.

Many thought the media were to blame for the hoopla with one reader writing that "If the critics and media did not point out the two speeches, I would not have known what happened. There are just so many ways to make a speech. Not important."

Another reader found it ironic Melania used Michelle Obama's lines, after Trump vilified Obama for years. "Karma bit Trump!" she commented.

"I think this kerfluffle over Melania's speech is ridiculous," wrote another reader. "I am not a supporter of Trump, but I think it is more than reasonable to assume that Melania and Michelle share the same values and concerns."
