MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Village of Mamaroneck police were able to free a man early Monday whose leg got pinned underneath his vehicle.
Sgt. Sandra DiRuzza, a village police department spokeswoman, said that at about 3:15 a.m. Monday Mamaroneck patrol officers responded to Madison Street near the 600 block of Mamaroneck Avenue on. Police found a 28-year-old male from the Village of Mamaroneck was stuck beneath the vehicle.
An earlier report said the man had been trying to change a flat tire when the accident occurred.
Police officers were able to lift the vehicle to free the injured man who was taken to Sound Shore Medical Center in New Rochelle for evaluation and treatment, DiRuzza said.
