MAMARONECK, N.Y. – The the man who was killed after he crashed into a jeep on Mamaroneck Avenue Saturday has been identified as Rosco Morrison Jr. of White Plains, Mamaroneck Village police said.
The 72-year-old man had a medical issue while driving north on Mamaroneck Avenue near Saxon Woods Road, police said. His foot remained on the gas pedal as the car grinded up against the center guard rail until reaching an opening, according to police. He then swerved into oncoming traffic and crashed into a jeep driven by an Armonk man, 51, police said.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital, where Morrison was pronounced dead, police said. The other driver suffered chest pains from the accident.
