New Rochelle Firemen Honored At Annual Awards Ceremony

NEW ROCHELLE -- The New Rochelle Fire Department hosted their annual Promotion and Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, Oct. 21in the Council Chambers in City Hall.

Mayor Noam Bramson and FD Chaplin Father Martin Biglin joined Chief Louis DiMelgio as they honored 50 Firefighters with the Life Saving and Unit Citation Awards. In addition, Mayor Noam Bramson sworn in Firefighter Steven Fridovich.

These awards are recognitions of their amazing acts of courage and bravery throughout the year. Recipients of the Unit Citation Awards included the three firefighters who delivered a healthy baby girl on Sept. 16, The responders were Lt. Anthony Margiotti and firefighters Jarred McLean and Daniel Thompson.

Amazing Grace was performed by the Westchester Fire Fighters Pipe Band.
