Mamaroneck Police: Larchmont Man Slashed Leaving House

LARCHMONT, N.Y. – A Larchmont man was assaulted while leaving his Richbell Road apartment June 7 on his way to the gym and sustained cuts to his chest and forearm, according to the Town of Mamaroneck Police Department.

The 24-year-old was responding to a text message while leaving his apartment about 4:25 a.m. when he felt a blow to his upper left chest. As he used his left arm to protect himself, he felt his forearm being cut by a sharp object. The police report said the object was a knife or other cutting instrument.

According to the report, the victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male with a light complexion in his mid 20s, about 5 foot, 8 inches tall with facial hair on his chin and wearing a black hood with white lettering on it, dark jeans and white sneakers.

The victim realized he was bleeding and drove himself to the Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was transported to Sound Shore Medical Center about 4:30 a.m., police said. At 5:30 a.m., a New Rochelle police officer at the medical center notified Mamaroneck Police that the incident had occurred in its jurisdiction.

Police and members of the Detective Division responded to the scene and searched the area but found no evidence.
