Accident on I-95 Southbound Near New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – A car accident on I-95 southbound just past Exit 16, North Avenue, caused heavy traffic delays on the highway Thursday afternoon.

Police and other emergency vehicles responded to the scene. The vehicles involved were in the right lane shortly after 3:00 p.m. and one vehicle had been placed onto a tow truck.

The accident caused congestion on the road for at least a mile on the highway as drivers maneuvered around the scene of the crash.
