"I have always wanted to attend Columbia University, and Westchester Community College is my best chance to make this dream a reality.
In high school, I didn’t really focus on my education. I entered the Marine Corps after graduation. I learned many things in the military, then went back home to Arkansas. I looked around and realized that I needed to do more with my life, and that is when I decided to move to the East Coast.
I chose Westchester Community College in order to gain an education and build a foundation so I could continue on to Columbia University. Currently in my second semester here, I am involved in student government, am a regional officer of Phi Theta Kappa, and am active in the International Business Club. The knowledge I have gained, and the experiences I have had here, have opened many doors and have impacted me in a positive way. I can’t wait for the next chapter to begin!"
Westchester Community College is the largest educational institution in Westchester County. The main campus is located in Valhalla and classes are offered at various extensions throughout the County.
