The performer, who recently completed an off-Broadway run of "Oh, Hello," grew up in Rye, where his love for the performing arts began at Rye Country Day School.
He will be in Greenwich at the Greenwich International Film Festival on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 showcasing his latest project, "My Blind Brother," a relationship comedy about sibling rivalry that gets complicated when two brothers fall for the same woman.
Kroll, known for his comedic chops, plays Bill, a man who has forever lived in the shadow of his brother, Robbie, a handsome athlete and local hero who happens to be blind.
The movie shows both days at noon at Bow Tie Cinemas in Greenwich; Saturday features a Q&A with Q&A with Kroll, Filmmaker Sophie Goodhart and Actor Charlie Hewson. On Sunday, the Q&A features only Hewson. Go to www.greenwichfilm.org/ for ticket information.
Next up for Kroll: the New Line feature "The House," as well as Jeff Nichols' upcoming independent feature, "Loving."
He's also busy developing an animated show for Netflix about his experience going through puberty in Westchester.
