The two -- Keith, a digital media executive with an MBA from NYU and Fedele, director, B2B global digital marketing at MasterCard - have co-founded Women in Innovation (WIN), a new networking group dedicated to elevate women working in innovative careers across any industry.
WIN is kicking off with a panel discussion on Women in Emerging Digital Leadership on Wednesday June 22 at 6 p.m. at MasterCard in Purchase. Daily Voice sat down with them to get the scoop on what folks can expect and where WIN may be going next.
Daily Voice: Why start this group? Who are you hoping to attract?
Suzanna Keith and Grace Fedele: Innovation needs to happen across all companies nationally no matter what size. In many companies, women are leading the charge whether it is in Digital, Financial Services, Computer Science, Pharma or Manufacturing. Moreover, Women in innovation and technology roles across industries are not often recognized in leadership positions. We need to lift them up with the end goal of inspiring more women to reach the C-suite.
We both had the vision to start a networking group in Westchester and Fairfield counties to help women in innovation support and elevate each other.
Women in Innovation (WIN) is hoping to connect full-time working women who have a passion for innovating and disrupting and want to further advance and transform their careers.
Daily Voice: What's next after this first meeting?
Keith and Fedele: We will plan quarterly events with the next event slated for September 28th with a panel of women in Sports Marketing Innovation. We hope to announce the slate of panelists at our June 22nd event. We're also thinking about returning to the Rye Art Center for another International Women's Day Celebration in March of 2017.
Panelists for the June 22 event include Tina Exarhos, chief marketing officer of Now This is Media, Fran Hauser, a digital and venture capitalist partner at Rothenberg Ventures, Tiffany Pham, founder and chief executive officer of Mogul, Johanna Zeilstra, founder of Womensdebate.org and Elisa Romm, executive vice president of B2B marketing at MasterCard.
