The Burger Barn Wins DVlicious 'Best Burger In Westchester'

SOMERS, N.Y. -- The Burger Barn, at 289 NY-100 in Somers, has the perfect patty. At least, according to you, our Daily Voice readers.

The 2-year-old eatery, profiled here in a previous Daily Voice story, won the DVlicious "Best Burger in Westchester County" contest with 42 percent of the vote.

Coming in close behind, in what may be called a "heated ground meat movement," was Valhalla Crossing in Valhalla with 34 percent.

The Burger Barn, which handpacks all of its patties and offers a full half-pound of Angus beef with each order, boasts close to 15 burgers, many with interesting combinations. Among them, its signature John Hancock Burger with a fried egg, American cheese and a brioche bun.

The Burger Barn will be awarded a DVlicious "Best Burger In Westchester County" certificate along with burger bragging rights.
