You picked five of the top diners in Westchester as part of our continuing DVlicious series. All are being profiled this week with the winner selected at the end of the month. Don't forget to vote!
Been Around Since: 1995.
Known For: It’s upscale non-standard diner fare such as lobster rolls and cabernet-braised short ribs. Besides comfort foods, the diner boosts organic and locally sourced meats and veggies, and also offers a full bar.
Behind the Scenes: Newly renovated just two years ago, the diner added 1,250 square feet of space, an outdoor terrace, and 13 more parking spaces, which should make it easier for Chelsea Mezvinsky (nee Clinton) to find a spot. Her parents, Chappaqua residents Bill and Hillary, notoriously referred to their daughter’s parallel-parking abilities in a 2007 campaign video made at the diner which spoofed the “The Sopranos” finale. Gov. Andrew Cuomo has also been known to hang out there, as well as Rob Thomas, the lead singer of Matchbox 20.
