Lothrop and Associates, an award-winning architectural firm specializing in libraries, has drawn plans that work with the library's existing footprint include a state-of-the-art technology commons (with ample computers, work stations, charging docks, a laptop bar and an instruction room), a vibrant new young adult space, tutoring rooms and a cafe.
Officials say the transformation will allow the library to remain vital for years into the future while still offering the same traditional services.
