MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- It’s impossible to live here and not have a bagel opinion. The New York area, as everyone knows, is the bagel capital of the world. And yes, it’s worth waiting in line on a Sunday morning to get one of these doughy wonders fresh out of the oven. Toasting, as a bagel purist knows, is not necessary when you buy the very best.

We asked for your favorites and now have five contestants in the running. Each is being profiled this week as part of our ongoing DVlicious contest. Here’s the lowdown on one who made the cut.
Mount Kisco Bagel, 480 Main St, Mount Kisco, (914) 241-0606
What Makes Them Bagelicious: All bagels -- that means every flavor -- is made fresh daily. The shop is locally owned by two partners who live in Armonk and Pleasantville.
Crazy Flavors: The rainbow bagel is "hot" right now, especially among young children who like it with white cream cheese and sprinkles. The most popular bagel is plain, followed by sesame and everything, which they call the "blizzard."
Reminder: The contest ends Monday, April 25 at 5 p.m. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
