MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Mamaroneck and Larchmont residents are invited to the Mamaroneck Library on Wednesday for taping of the new LMC-TV show “Word of Mouth,” which focuses on local residents with connections to the library and the arts.
The show is co-produced by the Friends of the Mamaroneck Library and the Village Council on the Arts. The program will feature “mini documentary footage of two guests, followed by an on-camera interview.” Then the guest will discuss “a local art event, or book, DVD, CD, or other material borrowed from the library,” according to a news release. Scheduled guests include “Chris Brown, songwriter, singer and Journal News illustrator; Ella Chinn, budding poetess and daughter of Steph and Mallory Chinn; visual artists, Laura Hiess; retired lawyer turned library sciences student, Ronald Glick; actor/director former MHS PACE program student, Jackie Sadofsky; recently married library enthusiast, Priscilla McCarthy."
The program was created by Lee Stringer, president of the Friends board and Arts Council member, as a way of pursuing both organizations’ missions – promoting awareness and involvement in the library and the arts, respectively. “It was decided taping before a live audience would be an excellent way to draw people into the library while helping to create word of mouth for 'Word of Mouth' at the same time,” said the release. Anyone interested in attending the live taping is asked to arrive at the Mamaroneck Library between 7:30 p.m. and 7:55 p.m. There will be no admittance after taping has begun. If the three-episode pilot program is successful, both organizations will consider continuing the show.
