Roads Expected To Reopen In Northern Westchester Following Flooding, Hochul Says Several busy main roads in the Hudson Valley are expected to soon reopen following a severe storm system that dropped several inches of rain and resulted in historic flooding, officials said.  The expected road reopenings were announced on Wednesday afternoon, July 12 by New York Governor Kathy Hochul, who said that they will follow several days of intense repair work.  The closures were caused by a severe, slow-moving rainstorm that arrived in the region on Sunday, July 9, and dropped more than eight inches of rain in parts of the Hudson Valley.  Hudson Valley roadways expe…

Road Closure Scheduled For Stretch Of Route 118 In Northern Westchester State officials announced a planned closure for a stretch of State Route 118 in Northern Westchester. Route 118 is scheduled to close between Birdsall Drive and Hanover Street in Yorktown, beginning Monday, Nov. 14 through Friday, Dec. 2, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Officials said the road closure is being implemented to facilitate a culvert replacement. Motorists should follow the posted detour, using US Route 202, Saw Mill River Road and State Route 35, and State Route 200 as an alternate, officials said.

Lane Closures Scheduled For I-84, Taconic Parkway State officials issued an alert about planned single-lane closures on the Taconic State Parkway and I-84 in the Hudson Valley.
