Thunderbirds, Blue Angels Take Flight Over Area A formation of U.S. Navy Blue Angels and U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds flew over New New York, New Jersey and Connecticut to salute first responders on the frontlines of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic early Tuesday afternoon, April 28. The New York flyover began at the George Washington around noon and lasted for 40 minutes. The path was across all five New York City boroughs, Newark, Long Island, White Plains and Stamford. Navy Fighter Jets Fly Over Hudson River Did you see them?  Five U.S. Navy Blue Angel jets zipped through the sky Thursday morning around 9 a.m. as part of a planned flyover before heading to LaGuardia Airport. The Navy F/A-18 jets flew north over Westchester and Rockland counties, turning south. The group is returning from performing an airshow in Annapolis, MD., on Wednesday to celebrate the Naval Academy graduations. If you happened to snap a shot of the planes, all photos are welcome. Will You See Them? Navy Fighter Jets Will Fly Over Hudson River This Week Local residents can view a flyover by the renowned U.S. Navy Blue Angels, the place is the new Tappan Zee Bridge. And the time is 8:45 a.m. Thursday, May 24. According to FAA officials, six Blue Angel F/A-18 jets will be heading north along the Hudson River past the bridge before they turn south and fly to LaGuardia Airport. The group is returning from performing an airshow in Annapolis, MD., on Wednesday to celebrate the Naval Academy graduations.
