Housekeeper Stole $25K Worth Of Jewelry From Westchester County Homes, Pawn Shops, Police Say A housekeeper is charged with stealing multiple pieces of jewelry from Westchester County residences and pawn shops, police said.  In June 2022, police in Greenburgh started investigating the theft of jewelry worth over $25,000 from a residence in the town, Greenburgh police said.  On Tuesday, Nov. 8, police arrested 42-year-old Azra Zecirovic of New Rochelle and charged her with the theft, saying that she was employed by the cleaning company that provided service to the home where the jewelry was stolen from, according to police.  Greenburgh Police also recovered pieces of …

Gas Prices Jump For July 4th Travel With a record number of Americans hitting the road to celebrate the Fourth of July, motorists are seeing an uptick in prices at the pump. After weeks of seeing declining prices at gas pumps nationwide, AAA is reporting that on average, they’ve risen more than a nickel in advance of the holiday, which will see more travelers than ever. Nationally, motorists are paying an average of $2.73 per gallon as of Tuesday, July 2; an increase of six cents from a week ago, though it’s down nearly nine cents from a month ago. A Week Later, 11K Nyseg Customers Still In The Dark In Westchester, Putnam More than 11,000 NYSEG customers remain without power as crews continue cleaning up from a pair of winter storms that left trees and power lines strewn about the area. 
According to NYSEG, as of 9:45 a.m. on Friday, 11,157 of NYSEG’s 86,737 customers in Putnam as well as parts of Northern Westchester and Dutchess remain without power as municipal aid crews continue making the rounds in the region, de-powering power lines and clearing downed trees. In Westchester, there are 6,945 customers without power, while 3,551 customers in Putnam are without power, and an additional 661 in Dutchess are…
