Man Killed In 4-Car Crash, Snarling Traffic On Merritt Parkway In New Canaan A man was killed following a multi-vehicle collision that caused lengthy delays on a busy Connecticut highway. The crash happened in Fairfield County on Tuesday, Nov. 26 just after 3 p.m., when four vehicles became involved in an incident on the northbound Merritt Parkway (Route 15)  in New Canaan just before Exit 37, Connecticut State Police announced on Wednesday, Nov. 27. Expect Delays: Long Ridge Road Resurfacing Starts There will be lane closures in Stamford for several days as crews begin a road resurfacing project in on Long Ridge Road. The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that beginning on Monday, May 14, there will be a 2.7-mile project performed from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the road that is expected to last through Friday, May 18. During the scope of the project, lane closures have been scheduled on Long Ridge Road from the .28 mile north of Route 15 underpass to the 0.11 mile south of Riverbank Road.
