$6.5M To Go Toward Repaving Route 35 In Bedford, Lewisboro
State officials have revealed that an extensive repaving project will soon improve conditions on a busy stretch of a main route in Northern Westchester. In an announcement on Friday, May 10, New York State Sen. Pete Harckham and Assemblymember Chris Burdick revealed a $6.5 million resurfacing and paving project has started on a stretch of Route 35. The project will center on improving conditions on the 5.9-mile stretch of Route 35 between Route 22 in Bedford and Mead Street in Lewisboro. According to Gov. A brand-new supermarket will be holding its grand opening in Northern Westchester this week. Green Way Markets will be open for business on Friday, Oct. 11 at the Orchard Square Shopping Center at the intersection of routes 35 and 121 North in the hamlet of Cross River in Lewisboro. It is filling the space that had been filled by another family owned business, DeCicco Family Market, which closed on Sept. 1, 2018. Roadwork Alert: Single-, Double-Lane Closures Set For I-684 Stretch Until Further Notice
The New York State Department of Transportation is warning motorists of the various upcoming single- and double-lane closures on Interstate 684 in Northern Westchester. The Department says that various single- and double-lane closures are scheduled for I-684 northbound and southbound between Exit 4 (Route 172) and Exit 6 (NY Route 35) in the Westchester County town of Bedford.
