The driver of a BMW that crashed on Central Avenue last year and killed 19-year-old Nina Cordero in Yonkers and injured her boyfriend has been sentenced to a term of between three and nine years in state prison. Yonkers resident Renzo Yance, 22, who pleaded guilty to a felony count of manslaughter earlier this year, was sentenced on Tuesday, where he faced a maximum term of up to 15 years in state prison for his role in the Aug. 26 fatal crash last year. A Hudson Valley man will spend a decade behind bars and is facing deportation after pleading guilty to raping a 10-year-old girl. Highland Mills resident Juan Linares, 20, who had pleaded guilty earlier this year to one felony count of first-degree rape, was sentenced this week to 10 years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision for his role in sexually assaulting a minor who was known to him. A 29-year-old man is heading to prison for a quarter of a century after pleading guilty to killing his mother. Westchester County District Attorney announced on Wednesday that Andre Coverdale, 29, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after pleading guilty to a felony charge of first-degree manslaughter in March in the stabbing death of his mother, Dawne McCray in Yonkers.
