Former Iona University Basketball Player Chosen To Star On New Season Of 'The Bachelor' ABC's "The Bachelor" franchise has announced its next star. His name is Grant Ellis, and he's a 30-year-old day trader with New Jersey and New York roots. The Houston, Texas resident initially competed on this season of "The Bachelorette" starring Jenn Tran, who grew up in Bergen County. Ellis was eliminated just before Tran picked her final four. Ellis is a Newark native who played basketball for Hudson Catholic, and later at the collegiate level in New York for Iona University in New Rochelle, where he played guard and forward. Police Searching For Missing 15-Year-Old Girl In Westchester County Authorities are asking for the public's help to find a 15-year-old girl who went missing in Westchester County.  Police are searching for Hope Eley, age 15, who was last seen in New Rochelle in the area of Iona University, according to an announcement by New Rochelle Police on Thursday, Dec. 15 around 2:45 p.m.  Eley is described as having a height of 5' 2", a weight of 125 pounds, light brown hair, and brown eyes, according to police.  She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, ripped blue jeans, and no shoes. Former Fire Chief Of Department In Westchester County Dies At 55 A man who was once the fire chief of a department in Westchester County has died.  Brian Payne of Larchmont died on Saturday, Nov. 12 at the age of 55, according to his obituary.  Payne, a longtime member of the Larchmont Fire Department from 1989 to 2007, served as Chief from 2001 to 2004, and was also a committed member of the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department from 2007 until his death, his obituary said.
