Fake Report Prompts Large-Scale Police Response In Westchester
A swatting incident led to an extensive police response in Westchester, prompting authorities to begin a search for the perpetrator of the false report. Woman Charged With Falsely Reporting Shooting In Northern Westchester
A woman has been arrested and is facing charges after she allegedly falsified a report of a shooting in Northern Westchester, police say. On Friday, Feb. 1 around 11:!5 p.m., New York State Police responded to Lexington Avenue in the town of Cortlandt on the report of a domestic dispute. The caller claimed that the suspect was holding her hostage and actively shooting at her.
