School Bus Catches On Fire In Westchester With Driver Aboard Firefighters rushed to extinguish an afternoon school bus fire in Westchester. The incident happened in Yonkers on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at around 4:15 p.m. in the area of 582 Mile Square Rd., according to Yonkers Police Sgt. Robert Spink. No children were on the bus at the time, but the driver and bus monitor were. They both got off and called 911, Spink said.  Firefighters then responded to the scene. Kia Vehicles Recalled Due To Fire Risk Kia cautioned the owners of nearly 400,000 vehicles to park outdoors for the time being due to a potential issue that could cause them to catch fire. The automaker announced that it is recalling approximately 380,000 vehicles nationwide due to concerns that an issue could cause a fire in the engine compartment to spark that could quickly spread.
