Patterson Relay For Life Marks 10th Year Patterson's 10th annual Relay for Life is Saturday, June 9, and lasts from 8 a.m. until midnight, helping raise money for the American Cancer Society branch based in New Windsor. While the walk around the track for a loved one begins at 8 a.m., opening ceremonies start at noon at the Patterson Fire House, 13 Burdick Road.  A luminary ceremony begins at 9:30 p.m. and the fund-raising relay concludes at midnight.  Festivities include kids games, a petting zoo, butterfly release, food, desserts, raffles, a DJ and musical bands.  For more details or to register click here: www.relayforlife.or…

Fox Business Anchor From Westchester Honored For Coverage Of Cancer Battle Fox Business anchor and Hartsdale resident Gerri Willis was honored Wednesday, May 23 by the Susan G. Komen Foundation at the Impact Awards in Manhattan. Willis received the 2018 “Surviving with Impact” award.  This past September, Fox News/Fox Business sponsored “Team Gerri’ in the Susan G. Komen NYC Race for the Cure where she raised over $21,000, ranking in the top 10 donors. Willis was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in April 2016 and had to start treatment immediately.  After a few months medical leave, Willis decided to go back to work while continuing treatment. In front of his entire team, New Rochelle High School hockey coach Paul Viggiano - who is also an official at Westchester-based AG Williams Painting Company - recently shaved his head to both honor his mother, Nancy, and live up to a promise he made to his players for clinching the league championship.
