Anthony Haruch, Teacher Who Lived In Northern Westchester, Dies Of Covid-19 Anthony Haruch, 94, formerly of Mahopac and Somers, died on Sunday, July 5 from COVID-19.  The last of six siblings and a lifelong bachelor, he devoted his life to art education. He received his BS in Education from SUNY Buffalo and MA from Columbia University and spent his career teaching in the Mahopac Central School District. In retirement he continued educating, publishing teaching materials, and taught jewelry making.  He traveled extensively and was devoted to under-represented groups including American folk art and aboriginal art of Australia and New Zealand. Tarrytown Native, PA Artist, Teacher Cecelia S. Lyden Dies At 78 Cecelia S. Lyden died on Dec, 20, 2019, succumbing to pulmonary fibrosis. Born February 12, 1941 in Tarrytown, she is the daughter of the late Peter and Mildred (Mascola) Barbella. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard A. Lyden; her daughter, Cheryl Anne Cochran; her son, Christopher Paul Lyden; three grandchildren, Caroline Cochran, Ryan Cochran and Ricky Vega; her brother Peter F. and wife GayAnn Barbella, a brother in-law John K.
