Lakeland High School will face Irvington High School at 5 p.m. while Panas will take on John Jay at 7 p.m. The winners of those two games will play for the championship on Saturday at 7 p.m., while the losers will square off for in the consolation game at 3 p.m.
John Jay finished 8-12 last season and lost to Peekskill High School in the first round of the playoffs. But the Indians returned two important senior forwards in 6-foot, 6-inch Jack Paccione and 6-foot, 3-inch Will Jahn. The latter has been with the squad for three years.
The Indians started the season with a 20-point loss to Sacred Heart High School (Yonkers) before taking on Hendrick Hudson High School.
