KATONAH, N.Y. ? The Harvey School varsity boys soccer team earned a hard-fought 2-1 victory over EF International Monday in Tarrytown for its third win of the season.

The Cavaliers, who won their second straight match to lift their record to 3-3, host Wooster Wednesday before traveling to St. Luke's in New Canaan, Conn., Friday.

Harvey and EFI battled in a defensive struggle for most of the game, with the Cavaliers hanging in despite being outshot 25-7. Junior Adam Gurman, in his first start as goalkeeper for Harvey, made several good saves, saving 17 shots overall.

EFI scored first and Harvey tied it at 1-1 on a goal that began with Gurman punting out to senior captain David Mandra, who laid the ball off to Robbie VanRaamsdonk for the goal.
