“Rethinking Dyslexia” Film To Be Screened At John Jay Middle School

LEWISBORO, N.Y. – The Katonah-Lewisboro Special Education PTA (SEPTA) will sponsor the screening of “The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia,” a documentary concerning the origins of the condition, misconceptions about it, and ways to overcome it.

The film, directed by James Redford, also highlights the work of Drs. Sally and Bennett Shaywitz, co-founders and co-directors of the Yale Center of Dyslexia and Creativity. It was originally shown on HBO.

The film will be followed by a discussion, featuring a panel of the school district’s own Wilson-Certified teachers.
