Vista Fire Department Responded To Four Calls

VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to four calls last week, including an auto accident and a report of utility wires down. The log for the week of Sept. 18-24 follows:

Friday, Sept. 21

At 5:52 p.m., the department received a report of electric wires down on West Lane. The company arrived and found the wires to belong to the cable company and they were off to the side of the road. The cable company was notified.

At 5:53 p.m., the department received a report of an automatic-alarm activation at a residence on Smithridge Road. When they arrived, they discovered that the alarm had been set off by cooking. No further problems were reported.

At 11:36 p.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Ridgeland Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital with the Westchester paramedic on board.

Saturday, Sept. 22

At 4:54 p.m., the department responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on Lakeside Drive in the Oakridge condominium complex. The driver refused to be transported to a hospital.
