LEWISBORO, N.Y. -- A portion of Route 123 in Vista, between Shady Lane and Waters Lane, was closed for several hours because of a serious house fire Thursday night.

Fire departments from Bedford Hills, Goldens Bridge, Mount Kisco, Pound Ridge, Ridgefield and Wilton  assisted in battling the blaze.

The fire, reported at 6:45 p.m., was at 228C Smith Ridge Road, according to Westchester Fire Wire.
