VISTA, N.Y. The Vista Fire Department responded to three calls this past week, including an appliance fire.
The fire log for the week of March 19-26 follows:
MARCH 19
The company received a report at 11:53 a.m. of an automatic alarm activation at a residence on Lockwood Road. First responders arrived and found the alarm was activated due to smoke from the plumber replacing pipes.
MARCH 22
At 7:27 p.m., the department received a report of an appliance fire at a residence on Smithridge Road. The fire was extinguished and then the residence was vented using the positive pressure fan. The area was checked to see if the fire had extended into any other areas but it did not.
MARCH 26
The company received a request by the police for the ambulance at a residence on Conant Valley Road at 5:26 p.m. That request was canceled prior to the response.
