Vista Fire Department Responds to Six Calls

VISTA, N.Y. – The Vista Fire Department responded to six calls this past week, including an outside smoke investigation and a carbon monoxide alarm activation.

The fire log for the week of Nov. 21-27 follows:

NOV. 21

At 12:58 p.m. the department received a request for an ambulance at a residence on Deer Hill Road. The patient was transported to Danbury Hospital.

NOV. 23

The department received a report of a carbon monoxide alarm activation at a residence on Laurel Road at 11:55 a.m. The residence was checked and no carbon monoxide was present.

NOV. 25

At 9:13 a.m., the department received a request for the ambulance at a residence on Smithridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital.

The department received a request at 11:39 a.m. to assist the police at a residence on Tribrook Drive. Assistance was given and the department turned the scene over to the police.

NOV. 26

A request was made for the ambulance at 2:37 a.m. at a residence on Laurel Ridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital. 

NOV. 27

At 3:05 a.m., the department received a report of an outside smoke investigation in the area of 58 West Road. Firefighters arrived and checked the area but nothing was found.
