VISTA, N.Y. - The Vista Fire Department responded to five calls this past week, ranging from ambulance requests to carbon monoxide alarm activations.
The fire log for Jan. 16-22 follows:
- JAN. 17
At 5:21 a.m., the company received a report of a water condition at a residence on Lorraine Road. It arrived to find a broken pipe in the wall and was able to shut the water off.
The department received a request for an ambulance at a residence on Elmwood Road at 7:14 p.m. The patient refused to be transported to the hospital.
- JAN. 19
The department received a report of a carbon monoxide alarm activation at a residence on Journeys End Road. It checked the residence and did not find any CO problem inside.
At 11:54 p.m., the department received a request for an ambulance at a residence on Old Church Lane. The resident was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital with a Westchester paramedic on board.
- JAN. 21
The department received a request for an ambulance at a business on Smithridge Road. The patient was transported to Norwalk Hospital, along the way was met by a Norwalk paramedic unit.
